Coffee roasting with care, control, and consistency
Milla Coffee Roasters started in February 2024, but the story behind it goes back much further. What began for Ewald as a side job during his teacher training in physics and English gradually grew into a passion for coffee. After several years working as a coffee roaster and barista, the idea emerged to start their own business together with Theresa. Not as a teacher, but as a coffee roaster.
That step called for a roaster suited to a young roastery with limited space, without making any compromises on quality or performance.
From the very start of Milla Coffee Roasters, one thing was clear: a compact roaster was needed, offering sufficient capacity, strong performance, and efficient energy consumption. The choice fell on a 15-kilo roaster from Dutch Master Roasters.
The combination of power, technology, and size makes it possible to work professionally, even within a very limited space. What makes it even more unique is that the roastery is located in a former car wash bay, where every square meter counts. The origin of the machine also plays an important role: European-built, with a strong focus on engineering and reliability. This allows Milla Coffee Roasters to achieve the ideal balance between compact operations and room to grow.
Milla Coffee Roasters roasts using the Cropster software. In combination with the Master Roaster, this provides complete insight into the roasting process and the ability to accurately monitor and repeat every roast.
Consistent results are essential. Delivering the same quality week after week, with room to refine and further develop roasting profiles. The roaster performs reliably, provides sufficient power, and makes it possible to work precisely on flavour development.
The controls are clear and simple. Thanks to the iPad interface, the roaster can be operated flexibly from anywhere in the roastery.
